For me, packing for vacation is easy. I’ve been lucky to go so many times over the years that I can be ready to go within an hour. Here I hope is a guide for what you need to pack when going to an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic.
Gentlemen – bring one pair of pants, two pairs of shorts and a few collared shirts (polos or button-ups). 3 – 4 bathing suits and t-shirts or tanks. Sneakers, one pair of dress shoes and some kind of beach shoes.
Ladies – bring 3 – 4 bathing suits and cover-ups, 3 – 4 sundresses, 2 pairs of shorts or capris, a few tops. Sneakers, flip flops and one pair of sandals.
Besides the normal stuff like your underthings, sleepwear and toiletries; you will both also need sunglasses, a hat, lots of sunscreen and your camera. I know that this doesn’t seem like enough, but believe me, it is. I find the Dominican resorts on the casual and comfortable side. After spending your days in the sun; you’re going to be comfortably mellow and will want to continue that comfort with more casual attire from day to night. You will find that you’ll start your day in a bathing suit (unless going on an excursion) and then only dressing for dinner.
