Let’s review the first meal of the day: Breakfast.
Buffets seem to get the biggest complaints. At the breakfast buffets which is generally your only option , you will find made to order eggs (except poached) , omelets, bacon, sausage, most times hash, potatoes, pastries, waffles, pancakes, French toast, hard boiled eggs, toast, cereal, yogurt, cheese and fruit. Am I forgetting anything?
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. I do love grabbing my plate and going to the made-to-order egg line. There, I get to fill a small bowl with any ingredient that they have laid out. My ingredients are ALWAYS ham and cheese but others in line go for the veggies and other stuff. The person manning the grill will take your ingredient, add egg and make you a fabulous omelet. That is the main part of my breakfast. I’m on vacation don’t forget. I then add a croissant, or a donut, and a pancake (or two). If there is room after, I will peruse the pastry area again for more sweets. My husband will go to the grill and get some over light eggs, find some bacon, cook up some toast and make his sandwiches. He also gets lots of fresh fruit.
There are also plenty of fruit juices to choose from as well as milk, coffee and teas. At most of the buffets, you claim a table and get your food. A server will come over with coffee or water but you’re responsible for the juices and most times tea. As you clean your plates, these same servers will take your plates.
What I find funny on TripAdvisor reviews, I’ve read countless times that the breakfast buffets are repetitious and serve the same food over and over. What do you have for breakfast at home that they don’t have here? I am constantly baffled by this. The resort that we went to last year had a crepe station which I thought was fabulous. This was a unique feature to this resort that I loved. You will find that most resorts, if you go to enough of them, will have different and unique items that will make you remember them. My husband’s memories tend to dim over time so when I refresh his memory about this resort, I always say, “It’s the one that had the crepes”. He would remember that because I really enjoyed them.
